My intention is to unify humanity by crossing cultural barriers with art and music.
I’ve spent the last 10 years playing music around the world. In 2014, I discovered a love for photography. This love has changed my life and the lens through which I view reality.
I take photographs to remind myself of simplicity, humility, and gratitude.
I take photographs to celebrate diversity.
I take photographs which make my heart sing.
I take photographs to instill a sense of shared humanity.
I take photographs to fill the viewer with awe and wonder, mystery, and majesty.
I take photographs to inspire hope.
I take photographs to worship our earth and its inhabitants.
I take photographs to remind myself that I am the dead rat on the street, the stars in the sky, and everything in between.
I take photographs just to take photographs.
I take photographs of our human experience.
In our fast-paced, fast-food, instant-gratification world it is easy to let the simple beauty all around us go unnoticed. For those of us who are willing to slow down and pay attention to the magic that surrounds us, we are rewarded with the reminder that life is truly miraculous; the lone rose, the children hanging out of front porch stoops, the pattern of chipping paint, the sun bursting through clouds - they are all reminders of the organized chaos we call “reality”. Our reality is a collective dream which our humanity agrees upon, grounded in time and space. So many people sleepwalk through life, forgetting who they truly are - a fragmented mirror of the divine.
The photographs are a collection of my travels around the world, inspired by our collective dream. I hope they inspire you remember who you truly are.
“You are not you--you have no body, no blood, no bones, you are but a thought. I myself have no existence; I am but a dream--your dream, a creature of your imagination. In a moment you will have realized this, then you will banish me from your visions and I shall dissolve into the nothingness out of which you made me. In a little while you will be alone in shoreless space, to wander its limitless solitudes without friend or comrade forever—for you will remain a thought, the only existent thought, and by your nature inextinguishable, indestructible. But I, your poor servant, have revealed you to yourself and set you free. Dream other dreams, and better! Strange! that you should not have suspected years ago—centuries, ages, eons, ago!—for you have existed, companionless, through all the eternities.” - Mark Twain
